It has an insert page with loops to hold 10 brushes, pens, markers, or pencils, and that page is removable, so if you don't want it, you can take it out and have more space in the case for what you need. Another perk to this type of case is that if you don't have a table or desk to sit and paint at, it lays flat on your lap and provides some stability for you to work on.
