Orders & Shipping

How long will it take for my order to ship?

Most orders ship within 1-4 business days unless otherwise noted.

When will my order arrive?

Standard US shipping: Orders placed with standard shipping will be shipped within 2-5 business days and should be delivered 2-7 business days after that to the lower 48 states. If you are in Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. Territory, or APO, it could take up to 26 days. Once an order is with the carrier, it is in their hands. There are sometimes carrier delays that are beyond our control.

Express shipping (US only): Please note that express shipping only applies to the lower 48 states. Orders placed with express shipping will be moved to the top of the queue and should ship within 1-2 business days. The carrier typically delivers two business days after accepting the shipment, so if they accept it on Monday, it should be delivered on Wednesday.

Unfortunately, even with express shipping, we cannot guarantee delivery dates as delays sometimes happen with the carrier.

International shipping: Transit times will vary depending on location. You will be provided with an estimated time at checkout.

What if I entered the wrong shipping address?

If you place an order with the wrong address, you can contact us at info@cozylark.com, and we will do our best to correct it before shipping. However shipping occurs in real time, and things often get shipped before a correction is received. Addresses cannot be changed once the package is in transit. If the package is returned to us, we will refund your purchase for the cost of the items minus the shipping cost and a $5 restocking fee. If you still want the order, you are responsible for placing a new order with the correct address.

How do I cancel my order?

If you place an order that you want to cancel, you can contact us at info@cozylark.com, and we will do our best to cancel it. However shipping occurs in real time, and sometimes they are shipped before an email is received. Mistakes in ordering are not our responsibility. You can return the order to us, and we will refund your purchase for the cost of the items minus the shipping cost and a $5 restocking fee.

Do you ship to my country?

We currently only ship within the United States and Canada, but we will be opening up shipping to additional areas soon.

I live outside of the US. Will I have to pay taxes when the order arrives?

No. All duties and import fees are calculated at checkout.

Returns

We want you to love what you ordered.

We want you to love your purchase! If you are not satisfied, please contact info@cozylark.com within 3 days of receiving it, and return it within 7 days. You pay for shipping and a $5 restocking fee, and it must be in its original condition and packaging. We do not accept returns of supplies that have been used.

Products

Why do some products have Cozy Lark branding, and some have A Dream Or A Day Art branding?

While we transition from A Dream Or A Day Art as the brand name, we have some inventory left to sell through, so some items still have that name. The product descriptions list all specifications for each product. The Cozy Lark and A Dream Or A Day Art products are the same, with the differences being in the packaging and aesthetic design elements, like color.

What’s the difference between the paint sets?

The two Essential sets are the same paints. You're just getting 12 or 24 colors. All 12 of the colors in the smaller set are included in the set of 24.

What’s the difference between the sketchbooks?

There are currently five different sketchbook. They are all watercolor paper. The hardcover books have a higher weight, 100% cotton paper. The practice books have more pages, but lower-weight watercolor paper (120 lb vs 140 lb in the hardcover books.)

Because the paper is a lighter weight in the practice books, you will get more ripples in the paper than in the sketchbook. It is designed to be a less precious place to practice and create with a larger space and more pages to work in, while the sketchbooks are a higher-quality paper made for more finished concepts.

How do I open the pans in the Essential palettes?

Please go to the How to swatch watercolor paints video to see how to open the pans.

How do I open the water brushes?

You twist the top off in the opposite direction than you would think, so righty loosey, lefty tighty. Weird, I know!

You don’t ship to my country. What supplies should I buy instead?

Our supplies are from our independent brand. They are not available outside of this website. We cannot make recommendations for other brands sold in countries outside of the U.S. because we simply are not familiar with what's available. We suggest going into your local craft store to ask what they recommend for watercolor.

Online Classes

I bought a class, but how do I log in?

You can go to https://sso.teachable.com/secure/1262202/identity/login/password to log in and access the course. Please make sure you’re using Chrome as your browser.

How long will I have access to the classes?

You have unlimited access to classes, and your membership will not expire. Please go to andrea-nelson-art.teachable.com to see the full course descriptions and more information about the classes.

Can I take the classes anytime?

These are online classes that students take at their own pace. You can pause, go back, and retake lessons as many times as you like. Please go to andrea-nelson-art.teachable.com to see the full course descriptions and more information about the classes.

Is the beginner class okay for kids?

This course is not specifically designed for kids, but we have heard from people that lots of kids are taking it, mostly with an adult. It's broken into short sections and you can pause, go back, and retake anything you'd like. Some of the lessons are easier than others, and some of what we paint are things like a flower pot and a window, which may not be super interesting for a child, but we also paint space, flowers, and a rainbow.

Custom Requests

Will Andrea paint my pet or other specific request?

We do not offer pet portraits or custom pieces.

Will Andrea do an in-person or zoom class for me?

There are no in-person or zoom classes offered.

Other Questions

Can I use artwork made from your tutorials to sell my own products?

No. Online tutorials are for entertainment and educational purposes, and the content and designs are the intellectual property of the creator of the tutorial. Any use of the designs for profit is prohibited. However, the techniques that are taught in the tutorial are not copyrightable and can be used to create your own designs that can be used however you’d like.

Can you help me with a specific painting question?

We are unable to offer advice or feedback on specific painting questions that are unrelated to our products. Like anything else, watercolor is something that takes time to learn. The more you paint, the more you will discover what works. While social media is great for inspiring us, it can also be helpful to beginners to learn the techniques through real-time instruction, so we always suggest taking a beginner level course if you're just starting out. There you will get more detailed instruction that may help answer some of your questions.

You can find information about the classes at https://andrea-nelson-art.teachable.com

We do not do any promotions or brand collaborations.
